When measuring a room to estimate how many rubber rolls or rubber tiles that you need, start by sectioning off the room into squares or rectangles to get an accurate measurement of the square footage of the room. If the room is already a single square or single rectangle you are ahead of the game and this project will be a piece of cake! If not, read below.

Example. Let’s take a look at an example of a small gym with a cardio room, a weight room and a spin room. All 3 rooms in the gym are open to each other but we look at this as 3 distinct areas that need to measured for you new rubber rolls.



Rubber Rolls Measuring

1. Spin Room: This room is 15’ x 15’ so we would multiply 15’ x 15’ to get our square feet for this room. 15 x 15 = 225 square feet.

2. Cardio Room: The cardio room is 25’ x 25’ – 25 x 25 = 625 square feet.

3. Weight room: The weight room is 20’ x 20’ – 20 x 20 = 400 square feet.

Total square feet for all the above = 1250 square feet.
