Discount Rubber Flooring
Buyer Beware! There are many inferior rubber floors on the market .
What is the difference between your flooring and discount rubber flooring available today? We hear a lot of gym owners say that rubber is rubber and they want to buy the cheapest, discount rubber flooring available. This can be one of the biggest mistakes a gym owner, home owner or facility manager can make in the overall look of a gym The difference is huge. Since this is a recycled product, it depends greatly on the quality and cleanliness of the recycled material as well as the equipment used to make the flooring. Smaller manufactures and many of the imported floors are made in using less clean recycled material and equipment that is not as accurate. The end result is a floor that does hold up as well or look as good. But isn’t it only rubber sports flooring? Why does it matter? It is only important if you want to weight room or gym to look nice. An inferior floor can greatly distract from the overall look and feel of your gym. When you are spending a lot of money on your equipment it only makes sense to be extra careful and make sure you are buying quality rubber. We have put together some photos of a small fitness center that had installed a very low quality rubber. This is perfect example of a poorly made and poorly installed rubber gym floor.
Notice the lines and when you enlarge photo, notce the difference in the shades of the floor.
Take a look at the many imperfections in the floors surface
There is a big difference in the color or shade of this floor. Notice on the second row where the installer seamed it together. You can see an obvious difference in the material.
This floor was only 1 month old at the time this photo was taken.
Notice the gap in the seam.
Rolls are curling.
As you can see, this was a a very low quality floor that was showing a lot of problems after only one month.
The owner had this floor torn out and replaced with our quality rolls. Pictures of the new floor will be available shortly.
