Q: What type of commercial gym flooring and institutional gym flooring will stand up to a busy gym, weight room, health club, physical therapy facility or university/school fitness center?
A: Our entire line of rubber sports flooring is commercial grade and made of the best quality materials available.
It is the same type of rubber flooring that has been used as commercial gym flooring for years in many of the largest health club companies across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Chances are if you are a member of large fitness club you have already walked on and worked out on this type of flooring.
Our rubber flooring was originally made for the commercial gym floors market and we have experienced many years of success with our durable and great looking material.
Q: How is it different from your residential flooring?
A: We made the decision a long time ago to make only one grade of flooring and to not skimp on our residential line.
By having only commercial grade rubber flooring we ensure that whether you are a fitness club, school, university, physical therapy office or a home gym, you will be receiving the same high quality material that has been tested and proven by many gyms across the country.
Q: What are my options for my commercial facility?
A: Most commercial gyms and health clubs use our rolled material to cover large areas. The rubber rolls are one of the most economical options to cover a large area with a nearly seamless look.
These rolls are designed to provide the perfect amount of cushioned resilience and durability and will hold up for many years while maintaining their great looks.
Our Commercial Gym Flooring rolls have become the standard in the industry for commercial gym flooring.
A: Smaller gyms are still a perfect fit for our rolled rubber flooring, although if you are looking for something less permanent you can always use our interlocking rubber floor tiles.
The interlocking tiles do not require any adhesive and if you are planning on expanding or moving your gym to a new location you can always pull them up and take them with you.
A: The standard in the industry has been 3/8” thick or 5/16” thick material.
Most commercial gyms do not use ¼” material since it is a bit thinner and will not give as much protection from dropped weights.
Another reason 3/8” or 5/16” thick is often used is these thicker materials are more forgiving when it comes to a less than perfect sub floor.
The ¼” requires the sub floor to be in good shape as it will show the imperfections more than the thicker floors.
Q: What about free weight areas?
A: Both our rolled rubber and interlocking tiles work great and are in installed in many free weight areas. If you are looking for something thicker, we will soon be adding a line of Commercial Gym flooring that is specifically designed for free weight areas and huge amounts of abuse. Check back soon to see our latest line of high abuse material.
Q: What about colors?
A: We carry everything in commercial gym flooring from solid black to custom blended colors to match your gym or corporate logo.
We pride ourselves in having a large line of fitness flooring at prices to meet any budget. Solid black is always the least expensive with prices increasing incrementally depending on the color content.
Our Standard colors range from solid black to our speckled colors which start at 10% and go all the way up to 95% color.
10% color content is a standard in the industry and make up a large percentage of the commercial rubber flooring sales in the United States and Canada.
